Engineer in Los Angeles Metrolink Train Crash May Have Been Texting
News reports indicate that the train engineer who reportedly ran a red light and caused the deadly Metrolink train crash in Chatsworth may have been sending text messages shortly before the train accident. Meanwhile the death toll has risen to at least 25 fatalities in the Metrolink accident.
Los Angeles television station CBS2 is reporting that Nick Williams, who lives near the Metrolink train crash site, exchanged several text messages with the engineer on Friday afternoon. The last text message from the Metrolink engineer was received at 4:22pm, just one minute before the Los Angeles Metrolink crash.
