Agoura Hills Jogger Killed in Oak Park Car Accident

When emergency personnel first arrived at the scene of the car accident at Lindero Canyon Road in Oak Park, they didn’t even know there had been a jogger involved until they saw her shoes lying on the sidewalk. The rescue crew had to use special thermal cameras, and chainsaws to locate and extricate the woman, lying dead, trapped beneath thick vegetation, after being struck by a motorist.

Good Samaritan Injured in Long Beach Car Accident Making Recovery

Just when we thought Good Samaritans exist only in the scriptures, comes an example to prove us wrong. A young man is discovering to his relief that he will, in time, be able to walk again, after being hit by a car on the freeway when he got out to help another motorist who had just met with a car accident.

Boxer Involved in Costa Mesa Car Accident Charged

In July this year, we reported on Quentin “Rampage “Jackson, the boxer and former Ultimate Fighting Championship title holder who caused a traffic rampage in Costa Mesa, plowing his car into several other vehicles as he tried to flee the scene of a hit and run accident. Jackson was charged yesterday with several criminal counts stemming from the crashes that he caused as he drove through his widely publicized run from the law.

Police Say Senior Citizen Killed in Fresno FAX Bus Accident Had Right of Way

Fresno police investigations have confirmed that a man killed in a pedestrian accident involving a Fresno Area Express (FAX) bus on Friday apparently had the right of way at the time of the accident.

Man Charged in Arroyo Grande Drunk Driving Accident

Yet another drunk driving accident, this time in Arroyo Grande, killed one person, and seriously injured two others. The accident occurred Sunday morning on Highway 101 off El Campo Road.

The accident, apparently, was waiting to happen. According to reports, the car driven by 28-year-old Apolinar M. Rodriguez, a Watsonville resident, was seen by many motorists to be driving erratically, southbound on the highway. Some of the other motorists called 911 to inform police about the reckless driving. Rodriguez was with two other occupants in the car.

Convicted DUI Offender Kills Two in Motorcycle Accident

Take a history of alcohol and drug abuse, post traumatic stress disorder, and a disposition to never learn from his mistakes, and put all these behind the wheel of a car, and what do you have? A drunk driving accident of the mindless sort that happens every day on our streets. 58-year-old Jimmy Dunn is currently being held at a Pinellas County jail in Clearwater, Florida on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and manslaughter.

Brentwood California Dangerous Road Kills One

August 21st, 2008

It was a combination of speed and a dangerous road, that killed a Clayton resident on Wednesday in Brentwood. William Tindall was killed when he stopped his car to help another motorist in trouble. He was himself struck by another car, and died at the scene.

Woman Charged in Church Van Drunk Driving Accident

Two women in their eighties, were among those injured in a drunk driving accident in Shelby, North Carolina. The accident involved a car and a church van, filled with church members. The seven members in the van belong to the Light Oak Missionary Baptist Church. The members had all been to a revival in Blacksburg, South Carolina, and were returning home when the accident occurred in Shelby. The church van that they were traveling in collided with another car just after 10 pm on Tuesday.

Volunteer Killed in Oakland Drunk Driving Accident

CHP Program for Awareness of California Motorcycle Accidents

More motorcycles on the streets of California, and older drivers who have slower reflexes – a potent combination of factors that have led to an increased number of motorcycle accidents in many areas across the state.  Now, the California Highway Patrol has kicked off a program that aims to increase awareness for the need for better motorcycle safety practices on our streets. The program called “Saving Lives in California” includes five areas in its fold, and will continue though this month.
