IPhone App Called Time to Drive Helps Teens Become Safer Drivers
This is one smart phone app that auto accident lawyers would recommend for every parent with a teenager who has just learned how to drive. A new app that is available for download on the iPhone is targeting teenagers who have just learned how to drive, and also parents who want to track their teen child’s driving under supervision.
The app has been developed by the University Of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center and the Center for the Study of Young Drivers. The app is called Time to Drive and is believed to be the first research-based iPhone app that is basically designed to help parents make sure that their teenager is gaining the right kind of driving experience under supervision, and is able to progress safely towards a full and unrestricted license.
The risk of a car accident involving your teenager is one of the biggest fears for any parent. When your teenager has learned to drive, it is important that you educate him and talk to him about the dangers of destructive behaviors behind the wheel. It is also equally important for parents to be able to monitor their teenage children’s driving, and the app helps them do to exactly that.
The app helps parents monitor their teenagers in different types of driving situations, when they are under their parents’ supervision and guidance. It helps parents maintain a printable log of their teenager’s driving.
The app provides tips for parents of teenage drivers and valuable advice about teenagers who are feeling anxious or nervous about the task of driving. It also provides guidelines for buying an inappropriate car for a teenage driver. The app also contains a “hard stop” measure that helps both teenage drivers and parents identify when the teenager has braked too hard. Braking hard is a major factor in accidents involving new and novice drivers.
