Drowsy Driving Blamed for Accident in Los Angeles

Drowsy driving is blamed in more than 100,000 accidents per year.

Police are still considering whether to file charges against a motorist who crashed her car into a restaurant in South Los Angeles over the weekend.  Police suspect that the motorist fell asleep at the wheel, and that this caused the accident. The definite winner in the survey is Washington, DC.

A survey of cities with the worst drivers in the country includes two California names, Glendale and Los Angeles.  Los Angeles ranks at number eleven for its poor accident average of one car accident every 6.6 years.  Glendale ranks at number three, and according to the survey, residents here were involved in accidents about once every 5.5 years.

California Supreme Court to Decide If Party Host Liable for a Drunk Driving Accident

Car Accident Victims Only Eligible for Paid Medical Costs in California

The plaintiffs are only going to be paid the cost of the medical care.

The new rule will limit the medical damages plaintiffs are elegible for.

The California Supreme Court has had handed over a major victory to insurance companies, by limiting the medical damages the plaintiffs are eligible for.  According to the Supreme Court ruling, plaintiffs are only eligible to be paid medical costs that are actually paid out by the insurance companies and medical providers, and not the full cost of care.
